Can any immigration ICE officers you mentioned here along immigration lawyers help me?. I was deported probably for life after I was convicted immigration fraud to Africa. All this happen because of Bush policy and my immigration lawyer shoddy job. This deportation happen in april, 2006. 4 years has passed since then and no end sight.

I have a wife and 6 kids whom all are US citizen. They suffered a lot. Some of them has chronical disease.

If anyone out there can help let me know

Thanks

So do the 3/10 yr bars exist. I know of a couple who overstayed their B-1 visa US for longer then 1 yr and left the country. Well, when their US citizen child applied for their green card, and the case got approved just recently. It has not been 10 yr since they have been out of the country.

"The wife is on the verge of losing her house to the bank. She is also on the verge of losing her mind. Would passage of CIR bring her family together? I am afraid not."

I think it was true of the last attempt at CIR that this situation would not have been covered. I believe if you take a closer look at the Guiterrez bill you will find that it contains waiver language that addresses the above mentioned fact pattern. Props to American Families United for making that happen.

What I would really like to see in the interim is President Obama stepping up to the plate in a show of good faith on his promises and making executive changes that would promote family re-unification. It would certainly be one way of keeping his promise regardless of the issues in both chambers.

In many cases it is a very adversarial system. As the system progresses, families are torn apart and real hardship ensues. I have found that not all Trial Attorneys or Immigration Officials are so 'adversarial'. As Mr. Shusterman indicates, some officers will try to help and will put their foot forward to look at the person behind the NTA or OSC and work with the Immigration Attorney to come to an amicable resolution.
