Sometimes I just have to scratch my head at the stance that our Government takes against immigrants.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement Field Office Director Robin Baker has actually admitted on camera that he refuses to favorably exercise discretion in cases that involve veterans who have been convicted of minor crimes that render them subject to deportation.
Robin Baker shamelessly admits that he maintains the power to stop the deportation of veterans of foreign wars, but refuses to use it.

Never mind, I just saw the newsclip where they cite the number of deportations per year for the past three years. It is a shame.

How many veterans has he actually deported, do you know? This is something of great interest to me. I am a Viet Nam era vet who, back in those days, had to register for the draft even though I was only a perm res, and was drafted. Now I am an attorney practicing in the Washington, D.C. area.
