It all comes down to preserving the status quo. When a president is running for office, he can say whatever he wants, but when he is in ofice, he must face the real pressures of the job, that no one who has not been president can really understand. And these forces do not want change, they want the opposite of change. And a president must choose his battles. I think that's the bottom line.

Does anyone know, what is Obama's stance on the startup visa, which would essentially lower the $500k minimum investment for EB5 green card visato $250K?

While I don't necessarily think all the deportations are a bad thing (the number of people who were due for deportation was tremendous), the other issues are pretty unacceptable. Why did he ever even come out in favor of the DREAM Act if he never planned to do anything with it? I think there should be some sort of accountability for this man, because few presidents come to mind who have made so many huge promises and outright failed to act on them.

He is the most unreasonable President I have lived to know. A man that could not help his autie get a common green card, is that the kind of President you are placing your hope on? keep on dreaming.
