As long as you write in a professional voice, I don't think it mttreas if you use Henry's first name or not. He was the second monarch of the House of Tudor, so simply calling him a Tudor leaves a lot to question. After all in the House of Tudor there were many Henry's from that line. Henry VIII was identified as such to differentiate him from the other Henry's that rose and fell. He was more often called King Henry, King of England, King of Ireland, etc. Though mostly King Henry, with no number attached to the end. =)I'm curious as to why you chose Henry VIII. He was a rather volatile, mean man though some of the decisions he made cleared the way to the future we have and also he produced Elizabeth, much to the delight of the religious turmoil of England at that time
