Romney Still Deciding His Immigration Position

Rate this Entry

Having no convictions can be such a challenge. You can't just have immigration positions that reflect your values when you have no values unless you count winning at all costs. The problem is making people believe your new positions are genuine. And no matter what positions Romney takes now, we remember.

I thought he wanted to give Green Cards to all foreign students in STEM fields. Or is he only confused about illegal immigration? With Grassley sitting in Senate, all I can say is good luck with both!

While Republicans are "still deciding" on immigration , Democrats have "already decided" on how to fool immigrants on the next elections.

If Gallup and NYT/CBS polls are any indication on things to come, Republicans seem to be on course not only to win majorities in the Senate but also the Presidential elections. If this were to happen we should look forward to a CDR "Comphrensive Deportation Reform" in the coming few years.

If Republicans were to pass deterrent measures, we could de-emphasize deportations. Unfortunately, too many of them are as corrupt as the Democrats on immigration so progress will be difficult.

Oh, you're talking about Romney. The same could be said of Obama.

I think you need to get the facts straight. Gallup is showing a tied race nationally. Obama still leads where it matters in electoral college. And finally, the chances of Senate going Republican has dimmed in the past few weeks due to the retirement of Snow, and the nomination of some extremists in the GOP primary.
