Obama Crushing Republican Contenders With Hispanic Voters

Rate this Entry

A new Fox News poll spells major, major trouble for the GOP with this growing demographic. The kind that can cost them an election. According to the poll, Obama is leading his best Republican contender by a six to one margin. That's 84% to 14%. President George W. Bush got nearly 40% and John McCain got 34% by comparison. A figure like that could be fatal in a close election and the current polls are showing each Republican trailing a President whose approval ratings are on the rise.

Georgia law barring illegal immigrants from college advances

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Illegal immigrants would be barred from attending Georgia public colleges and universities under a bill that passed the Georgia Senate on Monday with Republican support.

Wonder why anyone with any brains will want to attend public colleges in Georgia...sorry they are ranked very low except Georgia Tech.

Latinos may favor 6-1 (Democrats) but what is the use. Even if they win re-election in 2012 they do not have a plan or a bill nor the appetite for passing immigration reform. Republicans don't support immigration reform now and there is no reason to believe that they will support after elections. Lets hope the Supreme Court verdict on SB 1070 in May/June serves as a catalyst for meaningful immigration reform.

I agree with gg if Obama wins he would need to take the Congress again..... and then I guess we can find out what is the new political excuse not to do Immigration reform. Hopefully I am wrong but if Latinos want reform they need to help him win congress also....
