The time-warped Alabama is partying like its 1955. And pretty soon living standards in the state will start to resemble that time as well.

Mercedes has located in Alabama in search of cheap labor..ditto for Volkswagen and BMW in SC. Pretty much developing country wages..its research facilities are elsewhere in the country or around the world. They dont do high skill work in Alabama..so cheapness of labor may well offset such inconveniences. Now, a Chinese corporation trying to set up a plant in Alabama needs to be careful. I also heard that a Chinese investor wants to buy into the bankrupt Jefferson County..dont know how far that is true!

It would be the best thing that could happen to these state sponsored anti immigrant laws. A direct impact to foreign investment, that would be huge let's wait and see.....

Also because these states are right to work states and employers have the labor laws on their side as opposed to other places like the Northeast or out West!!
