Guest writer Legal and Still Waiting has once again did a superb job summing up the movement of visa numbers since last month. Very bad news for Family 1st applicants and the India and China numbers are still not keeping up in the employment categories. Here is LASW' review:
Family 1st - World numbers, China and India have retrogressed by 8 months to 01 May 04; two week advance for Mexico and three and a half months advance for Philippines.
Family 2A - World numbers, China and India have advanced three months to April 2007; Mexico advanced to 6 months to July 2006; Philippines advanced 3 months to April 07.
Family 2B - World numbers, India and China stalled at 15 April 2003; Dominican Republic advances to 15 April 2003 as well; Mexico stalled at 15 July 92 and Philippines advances four months to Dec 99.
Family 3rd - Most countries advance two and a half months to 15 March 2001; Philippines advances 3 weeks to 01 January 92; Mexico advances one week to 08 November 1992.
Family 4th - Most countries advance to February 2000; China stalled at Jan 2000; Philippines advances to March 08 1988; Mexico advances one week to 01 February 1996.
Employment 1st - Still current in all categories
Employment 2nd - Most countries still current; two weeks improvement for China (22 July 2006) and still stalled for India (8 May 2006).
Employment 3rd - Three week advance for most countries to 22 July 2005; advance for China to 01 March 2004; three week advance for India to 08 April 2002; Mexico jumps four months to 08 May 2004; three week advance for Philippines to 22 July 2005.
Employment 3rd Other Workers - Most countries advance five weeks to 22 July 2003; China stalled to 22 April 2003; India advances three weeks to 08 April 2002; Mexico advances to 22 July 2003; Philippines advances five weeks to 22 July 2003.
Employment 4th - Still current in all categories
Employment 5th - Still current in all categories
