FIORINA SUPPORTS DREAM EVEN THOUGH SHE OPPOSES "AMNESTY"

Rate this Entry

Good that the GOP nominee for the Senate in California is taking a centrist position, but it's annoying to hear about being opposed to amnesty. So is just about everyone who favors comprehensive immigration reform. The question is not whether you're against legalizing people and not punishing their behavior. None of the versions of immigration reform introduced in the last five years do that. All contain varying degrees of punishment - paying fines, going to the back of the line behind current green card applicants, paying back taxes, passing English exams, doing community service, etc. etc. Is Fiorina against any path to people legalizing their status and does she believe a lifetime in exile is the only appropriate response? If that's the case she's against far more than an amnesty and that's what we need to know.

I saw that debate on the economy and I tough that Senator Boxer ate her lunch BIG time!!! Specially when she painted her as a job shipper and then collecting the big bonus. I am not sure that Fiorina will make friends with the hispanic large population in CA opposing amnesty, that makes her look clueless on immigration and Boxer can make her look like a Pete Wilson lover....

Fiorina is really a scary proposition for CA . Her positions on abortion rights , Gun control, Immigration , Gay rights are too extreme for CA.

She is right on one thing , she whacked Boxer for voting on the poison pill amendment of Dorgan while debating CIR 2007. Obama is equally guilty for voting for that poison pill amendment.

If any of you live in CA, get out and vote for Boxer, as much as you may not liker!

Crash and Burn Carly drove Lucent into the grave and HP almost suffered the same fate. That's two strikes, does California really want to be the third strike?

May be after that it will be three strikes and you are out. After all, in this country incompetence pays. Just look at CNBC all those looser predictors who keep getting invited back on the show!

And still people watch it. It is an entertainment channel, nothing else.

    Why immigration could help America?

"The concern is that the U.S. fertility rate might not recover if the country fails to pull itself out of an economic slump. That's precisely what happened to Japan, where a negative birth rate brought on by the country's financial contraction and rapidly aging population has exacerbated its ability to pull out of a decades-long recession."

Negative birth rates, a rapidly aging population and a country close to immigration is a recipe for disaster.

No new younger working people, no new taxes, no new money to support social security and HC, no doctors and nurses as well to care for the aging population, no new people buying houses, no consumers and businesses going abroad to set up their business and employ there instead. There's no way this can't be a disaster for the US economy.

USA is lucky that Japan is showing everyone what not to do.

More immiediate issue is the state budget cuts, layoff of teachers and declines in US enrollments...guess now racists such as Kirkorian and Stein at CIS and FAIR dont protest those cuts (and the biggest racist of them all, Heather McDonald of the Manhattan Institue) ...but let the economy recover and there is a shortage...suddenly these bigoted clowns and their bigoted organizations will want to train Americans...of course if you send the jobs abroad, they have nothing to say...only these people like Heather McDonald dont want too many non-whites living next to them...even Asians...perhaps she had some Asian woman stole her first boyfriend!
