"With the available resources and given the restrictions of being on a work-visa status, going back to India seemed to be the logical thing to do."

For those who do not believe that visa restrictions are putting off future enterpreneurs. This guy could have started his own company and hired few people, but now is going to start it in India and hire there. Loss for Microsoft and for US. Hey, but people like him cannot form mass of 11 million to be counted significant enough for passage of simple legislation.

I like that statement, very true indeed.

Maybe if your approach is smart enough, you would not need 11 million? Politics is the art of persuasion, and not many people won support by being bitter and resentful.

People come here to work and create oppurtunities (atleast the enterprenourial ones). They don't come here to learn art of playing politics. I wonder whose lose is it, if US immigration policies work as deterrent for potential high skilled immigrants?

Well, congrats, but anyway, wasn't that a little bit like shooting fish in a barrel? It's not like anyone expected they'd deport the president's aunt...

Really? There is no politics in workplaces? There is no politics in family life? There is of course no politics in business - that's why there are so many corporate PACs, right? As an entretreneur, probably 90% of what you do is politics.

Life is politics. Whether you move to a different country or not.

"I wonder whose lose is it, if US immigration policies work as deterrent for potential high skilled immigrants?"

It is obvious who's going to lose, however, in politics facts don't matter much. If they were, people would not believe that reducing tax rates increases tax revenue, would they? Just pointing out the obvious.

Most enterpreneurs I know who are successful spend 100% of their working time actually "working" not working. You must be talking about 95% of businesses that fail every year. I wish they did run their business rather than playing politics.

"reducing tax rates increases tax revenue, would they?"
Reducing tax rates can increase tax revenue, if GDP increases. By reducing tax rates more GDP growth happens and that in turn generates more tax revenues. This ofcourse is dynamic equation and economists have to continously follow computer models to keep ahead of the curve and adjust the tax rates to boost GDP.

Politics is when, 11 million start holding other 1 million hostage to pass a legislation which has no possibility of happening. And ofcourse hispanics are best in playing this politics.

Adi, you obviously never managed a company if you think there is no politics in management. As far as "11 million holding 1 million hostage", I think you need a dose of reality. IMMIGRATION LAWS hold 1 million people hostage, in fact, they hold all 12 million hostage, the one million you talking about just just got into the preferred hostage room. The 11 million don't really care what happens to the other million, just like the one million does not care what happens to the 11 million. Wake up.
