NOVEMBER VISA BULLETIN IS OUT

Rate this Entry

November shows some nice advancement in the family immigration categories, particularly in the Family 1st and Family 2A categories and, for Mexicans, in the Family 3rd category. Employment categories don't show very much movement, unfortunately. No retrogression, but not much advancement either. The EB-4 and EB-5 categories are still showing "U" for unavailable, but that should change shortly as an agreement on extending the two programs has been reached and will be finalized in the next few days. Here is the link to the latest bulletin.

Family 1st - Advancement of worldwide, China and India numbers by nearly three months to 15 OCT 2003. Mexico advances one month to 8 JUL 1992. The
Philippines moves one week to 15 OCT 1993.

Family 2A - Worldwide, India, China and the Philippines
numbers advance ten weeks to 15 AUG 2005. Mexico jumps 14 weeks to 15 JUN 2003.

Family 2B - Worldwide, India and China numbers advance five weeks to 1 OCT 2001. Mexico moves one week to 1 JUN 1992. The
Philippines moves forward to weeks to 15 MAY 1998.

Family 3rd - Worldwide, India and China advances six weeks to 1 MAR 2001. Mexico moves nearly ten months to 1 MAY 1992. The Philippines moves forward one month to 22 OCT 1991.

Family 4th -
Worldwide numbers, China and India advance eight weeks to 15 JUN 1999.
Mexico moves one month to 08 NOV 1995. The Philippines moves six weeks to 15 JAN 1987.

Employment 1st - All categories remain current.

Employment 2nd - Worldwide, Mexico and the Philippines remain
current.  China moves forward two weeks to 1 APR 2005. India is stalled at 22 JAN 2005

Employment 3rd skilled/professional workers -Worldwide, Mexico, China and the Philippines remain stalled at 1 JUN 2002.  India moves forward one week to 22 APR 2001. All EB-3 unskilled workers are still stuck at 1 JUN 2001 except India which moves forward one week to 22 APR 2001.

Employment 4th - This category is current for all nationalities except special immigrant religious workers. That program is expected to be extended by three years in the coming days so this category should become current again soon.

Employment 5th - All categories remain current except pilot program cases are unavailable. This category is unavailable since the category expires on September
30th. The program has been extended in the DHS spending bill, but the
final bill has not yet been signed. The category is very likely to become current again by the next bulletin.
