WHITE HOUSE OFFERS FEW DETAILS ON MEETING TODAY

Rate this Entry

Just a brief statement from Secretary Napolitano:

Today's meeting on comprehensive immigration reform was an important
opportunity to hear from stakeholders and build on the significant time
I've spent on the Hill meeting with members of Congress on this
critical subject. I look forward to working with President Obama, my
colleagues in Congress and representatives from law enforcement,
business, labor organizations, the interfaith community, advocacy
groups and others as we work on this important issue.

Do you know if skilled immigrants facing visa backlogs stretching years - probably a decade- even have a seat at the immigration discussions hosted by the White House?

'said at the meeting that she realizes she needs to be a more vocal advocate for reform, according to several attendees.

"She said she got the message," Sharry said. "We will evaluate it on what she does over the next few weeks, not what she said at a White House meeting."

    ----

Poor, Janet. So many of these 'stakeholders' are upset with her for, heaven forbid, enforcing a little law rather than openly pushing their radical agenda. She sounds browbeaten. You can try to pacify an amnesty fanatic like Sharry but he's still watching you!

'Advocates took the presidential visit as a sign of the administration's commitment to the issue.'

Or maybe just to make it look that way while stringing these self-proclaimed owners of the issue along.
