DHS ANNOUNCES 11 NEW POLICE DEPARTMENTS SIGN UP FOR 287(G) AGREEMENTS

Rating: 13 votes, 5.00 average.

I'd really like to see some data from the cities that have already signed up to see which ones actually had their crime rates decline after going this route. I'm pretty doubtful.

Here is the list from DHS:

  • Gwinnett (GA) County Sheriff's Department

  • Monmouth (NJ) County
    Sheriff's Office

  • Rhode Island Department of Corrections

  • Delaware
Department of Corrections - Sussex Correctional Institution

  • Houston
    Police Department

  • City of Mesquite (NV) Police Department

  • Morristown
    (NJ) Police Department

  • City of Mesa (AZ) Police Department

  • Florence
    (AZ) Police Department

  • Guilford County (NC) Sheriff's Office

  • Charleston County (SC) Sheriff's Office

    Hi
    Greg

Is it possible to attach Nurse relief bill as an ammendment to DHS appropriation bill(like E-vary fying,Coronad,EB-5 ammended in the senate) OR Healthcare reform bill??
I think our lobyiest are not more active in this issue!!!
"waiting for CIR for such emergency bill is very nonsence idea of Congress"

CIR is basically platform for illegals,So first make plateform for legals waiting for decades!!

It would be good if DHS actually followed through with these cities and the other already approved to see if they actually do what this so called 287(g) programed is designed to do, which is to get rid of violent and criminal aliens. Most of them use them to deport people for minor violations like traffic tickets and that way they can claim success in the program's implementation as well as get funding for it.

    U.S. Immigration Policy

The Department of Homeland Security has extended the 287(g) program that allows participating local police agencies to enforce federal immigration law.

"Local police agencies empowered by the federal government to enforce immigration law must focus their efforts on criminals who pose a threat to public safety, with less emphasis on those who commit minor crimes, Department of Homeland Security officials announced Friday"
