Good! Hopefully they would have some long-term fix to this problem of doctors in underserved areas. And no, raising the salaries of doctors is not one of them at a time when we are trying to control costs. Dobbs's idea of raising nurse salaries sharply runs counter to Obama's agenda of controlling health care costs and while we are at it, we need to look at the hospital management pay as well and compare it to other countries. It is amazing that Singapore which spends 5% of its GDP on health care has better IMR and Life Expectancy than 80% of the US States. Disgraceful, actually for the US!

Sagar - I wish I could give you an exact day. I just know that there are a number of people working hard on this and that we've gotten a lot of promises for help. I think once the big budget and stimulus bills are out of the way, we'll see some progress on this issue and several others.

Everything moves slowly in Washington DC. I have lived there off an on for nearly thirty years. It is slower than New Delhi and definitely slower than Beijing or Singapore!

This cannot be good. Conrad 30 is a band aid. With EB2 so severely retrogressed for India and China, we need a better bill. Is there any hope before hell freees over?

    Hi Greg,

Can we expect some good news on 2009 version of 5924 (retrogression relief for Nurses) before the International Nurses Day which happens to be in May. Now the congress is comparatively free and we are sure that all of you will be working very hard to help us out.

Raj- I'd love to say yes, but I don't know.
