VISA PROGRAMS EXTENDED FOR ONE MORE WEEK

Rate this Entry

The Senate has been unable to pass the Omnibus budget bill containing extensions of the EB-5 and E-Verify programs and funding to keep the US government running is officially over today. In order to keep the country from shutting down, both houses of Congress will vote today on a continuing resolution to keep things going until March 11th. That will include the Conrad 30, E-Verify, EB-5 and religious worker programs. If the budget bill is not going anywhere, many speculate that Congress will pass a continuing resolution to keep the government running at current levels until September 30th, the end of the fiscal year. If that happened, presumably the four programs would continue until that date as well.
