I am proud that my country by choice has made history by electing an African-American as President.

It's morning in America. As icing on the cake, thus far, the following antis have gone done in flames:

    Senate:

Sen. Sununu (A-) Republican of New Hampshire
Sen. Dole (A) Republican of North Carolina

    House:

    Lost:

Marilyn Musgrove (A-) Republican of Colorado
Chris Shays (A) Republican of Connecticut
    Ric Keller(A-) Republican of Florida
Tom Feeney (A) Republican of Florida
Joe Knollenberb (B) Republican of Michigan
Robin Hayes (A) Repubican of North Carolina
Phil English (B+) Republican of Pennsylvania
Nick Lampson (A-) Democrat of Texas

Retired and seats flipped to Democrats:

Terry Everett (B+) Republican of Alabama
Rick Renzi (B+) Republican of Arizona
Jerry Weller (B-) Republican of Illinois
Jim Saxton (A-) Republican of New Jersey
Steve Pierce (B-) Republican of New Mexico
Vito Fossella (B) Republican of New York
Ron Lewis (A-) Republican of Kentucky (seat retained by the R's)

The alphabet in the parenthesis is the NumbersUSA (they are affliated with the hate group, FAIR) grade. All Senate & House (4 Senate & 54 House races undecided) results are not yet in and more antis may go down.

Bilbray won in san diego, it was a close race, but unfortunely he won. Anyway, or this congress, or never for a CIR

    Congrats to President elect Obama!!!!

The bad news for CIR is that in the Senate, Coleman has been re-elected by about 572 votes. Chambliss likely has 50%, Convict Stevens is ahead as is Smith of Oregon. The Ds substantially under-performed in the House & Senate.

The AP just revoked their calling of the Minnesota race.

I thought they would, Greg, because of the re-count. However, if the past is any history it is difficult to get a different result in a re-count.

Smith will likely loose in Oregon, and Coleman-Franken, anybody's guess. Chambliss is supposedly in a run off, and Sarah Palin probably comes to the Senate. Dems will probably have a 20 seat gain and a 40 seat lead in the House. They have to try and pass the CIR sometime next year.

I think after the beating the republicans have taken in the west coast, they should warm up to the idea of fixing immigration and redeem themselves with the Hispanic electorate. That is unless they think they can come back from the dead with out appealing to these voters!!

"I think after the beating the republicans have taken in the west coast, they should warm up to the idea of fixing immigration and redeem themselves with the Hispanic electorate."

The GOP has a very tough choice with the changing demographics.

    (1) They focus on truly conservative issues such as abortion and gay marriage as well as CIR and win the support of minorities. California Prop 8 shows that at least on gay marriage minorities are in tune with the GOP more than whites and this includes Asian Americans (not that I support any gay marriage legislation):

    (2) Forget abortion and gay marriage and strictly pander to white skin worshipping pagans who oppose interracial marriage, Civil Rights and non-white immigration (including mail order brides from Asia which is opposed by most white women in the south) and of course CIR in general. I think several congress folks from the south fall in the second category although they do give lip service to (1).

Of course, they have another choice which is to wait for Obama to screw up. His popularity will wane during 2009 and 2010 but it is going to skyrocket in 2011 and 2012 when the economy booms...so dont think it is an option.

Cramer knows exactly what the president-elect's priorities should be after he's sworn in Jan. 20. Here's the five-point plan:

Stop immigrant deportation. Both legal and illegal immigrants are some of the U.S.'s most reliable homeowners. With Homeland Security hyperfocused on the border, dependable buyers - whose default rates are virtually nil - are scared from the market.

What does deporting legal immigrants mean? Canceling their visas and deporting them? That would be one way to tackle illegal immigration. Just deport everyone that looks "foreign".

I think you are missing the point of the story line.

AV, I saw the program yesterday - it was kind of interesting that this whole immigration thing was his #1 suggestion (after propositioning his own services as a Treasury Secretary).
