ARIZONA GOVERNOR VETOES 287(G) POSSES LAW

Rate this Entry

Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano has drawn the line and vetoed a bill that would have deputized state law enforcement officials to act as immigration officers. Napolitano called the bill impractical and expensive. The New York Times praised Napolitano and also called the bill dangerous because it would make large numbers of citizens afraid to report crimes and cooperate with police in crime investigations.

I have overstayed my visa. I make an honest living selling herbal remedies to symptoms such as glaucoma, and loss of appetite.

Please, will someone help me continue living in this generous country? I am afraid that one day someone will stop me from engaging in my herbal remedy business all because I am a human born on the wrong side of the border!

    Hugs for everyone.

Now, why would CITIZENS be afraid of reporting crimes due to immigration status? Unless of course they're breaking the law by aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Or does the NY Times reveal its bias in considering even illegal aliens "citizens"?
