    Good info.

Why does the current year's visa number has to be a secret? Why do we have to know these numbers almost 7 months after the end of the year. Can't they have a counter on day one of the fiscal year and come up with report every month? This age of information, if they cant do it, its a shame to the most innovative country. I guess its lack of interest rather than anything. who cares whether CIS is doing its job or not?

Why doesn't the AILA supremo's who talk with USCIS every fortnight or month ask this information to be made public along with the processing times? Oh well! They dont want people and press to make noise if CIS is screwing up visa numbers like they did all these years. No accountability what so ever.

Sorry Greg--quick question--do you know where I can find out which ~10 states allow FMGs to take the USMLE Step 3 before residency?

fb - I don't have the list per se, but on my web site at www.visalaw.com, I have a chart of FMG licensing requirements in each state. If it is not on the chart, you can contact the states via information on the chart to see if they can answer.

Anyone know whether or not these DOS statistics are principals only?

Thanks for the link, I am glad that they still have about 10000 Schedule A visas with them. Hoping the recapture bill will come soon so that people like me can get an opportunity to get in line & get GC if lucky!!!
