DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMEN WARN ON EXPANDING E-VERIFY RIGHT NOW

Rate this Entry

Representatives Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Michael McNulty (D-NY) have
sent a "Dear Colleague" letter warning members of Congress not to sign
the Republican discharge petition that would bring the Shuler
immigration enforcement bill to the House floor for a vote. The letter
lays out the case against E-Verify being mandated right now. Of course,
states seem to be rushing in to require employers to use the system.
But the letter at least serves as a warning that E-Verify is not the
uncomplicated solutions its proponents like to claim.

Heath Shuler once said that Americans will be willing to pay higher prices if we employ American farmhands and doubles their salary. This is the same mantra for racist anti-immigration groups such as FAIR and CIS, and racists such as Dan Stein and Mark Kirkorian. To them I have to say only one thing..great Americans..they indeed did pay higher prices for their fares on Aloha Airlines and are keeping it prosperous and a lot of Americans employed....

Let this to be a warning to all Americans and US businesses not to be taken in by the Americans willing to pay higher prices if Americans are employed garbage.

George--Am I to take your comments to mean that our primary reason for importing immigrants, legal or illegal, is to keep our prices down? Forgetting, of course, that since the bulk of legal and illegal aliens these days are also uneducated and unskilled, we taxpayers end up subsidizing both them and their employers.

Furthermore, Agribusiness is heavily subsidized by the US government already, and it isn't the small family farms reaping the benefits, but large corporate entities.

The Congressmen here are proving what we who oppose amnesty have been saying for years--that our leaders have absolutely no intention of enforcing immigration laws against employers or illegal aliens. Instead of suggesting an alternative measure that would make the program workable and required on at least a limited basis, these Representatives are saying if it isn't perfect, we shouldn't have it at all. Ignoring, of course, that roughly 30 percent of the 17 million SS mismatches (more than 5 million) are due to illegal aliens fraudulently using someone's SS number and that US workers are harmed directly by THAT. And that they're not likely to find out about it until they're contacted by the IRS for not paying taxes or when they apply for benefits and the SS Administration THEN tells them that there are problems with their account.

Yes. That is the primary reason. Anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves. Taxpayer subsidy...political rhetoric. Some immigrants are on welfare but studies after studies have shown (other than nonsense coming out from racist groups such as FAIR and CIS..I will tell you in my next post why they are racist, one more time presenting evidence) that most immigrants are not on welfare although they do depress wages, which means lower prices.

"Furthermore, Agribusiness is heavily subsidized by the US government already, and it isn't the small family farms reaping the benefits, but large corporate entities."

I have always argued that we need to remove ag subsidies before we consider a guest worker program. If we dont remove ag subsidies and send everyone home everyone will come to the taxpayer for more subsidies to pay for increasing the wages (the soution of CIS and FAIR), something I dont want to pay and I doubt many taxpayers want to pay.

These reps are absolutely right. If it comes down between law and economics to hell with the law or change the law. If this leads to higher prices because fruits cannot be picked, I say to hell with the law. How many laws do we really enforce? Do we enforce drunk driving laws to the fullest? Do we even enforce traffic laws?

Now why are CIS, FAIR, Kirkorian and Stein racists? The answer, a movie called "21". This movie is based on the real life story of Asian Americans. However, Hollywood uses a British actor as the lead person in the movie, while the role could have gone to potential Americans, Asians or otherwise. Now when 35,000 out of the three million programmer jobs goes to Asians from abroad, you will see Kirkorian and Stein raise hell about how Americans are displaced but where is he when a British actor displaces potential Americans of all colors. Nowhere. The difference is, Sturgess, the British actor is white, while the programmers are Asians, mostly Indians. By not raising a hue and cry about Americans being displaced by Sturgess, Steyn and Kirkorian (as well the orgs they represent) have shown themselves for what they are..TRUE RACISTS!
