HOW TO MAKE THE HEAD OF AN ANTI-IMMIGRANT EXPLODE

Rate this Entry

Wipro, the king of the Indian IT outsourcing companies, is opening a job center in the US targeted toward hiring US workers. Somehow I doubt Lou Dobbs will forget to cover this story from his company's backyard.

Good luck to him I am afraid that the way the immigration system is today he will sson have to outsource the jobs back to India. I am sure Lou Dobbs and the anti's will stick their heads in the sand on this one since it flaps them in the face.

Well, let's see how many Americans they actually employ. But, how can they afford Americans if they won't do the work illegals and H1Bs will do???????????????

It was only a matter of time before the cost of doing business in the tech industry rose in India. I have always said things will start to even out over time, despite the screaming of economic chicken littles like Dobbs et al.

If this works out, it should help to erase the perception of H-1B abuse by companies such as Wipro. Of course we will all be watching to see if they are really serious.

Yeah labor costs have already started to rise in China as labor shortages have started to put pressure on manufacturers. But there will always be new manufacturing safe heavens for companies to outsource work.

Johnnie: Wipro is working with Georgia universities and so I believe most of the employees will be fresh graduates from the universtity. If there are not enough american students you can't blame Wipro for that. The complaint always have been that cheap foreign labor outsourcing the job to India. Well now Wipro starts a company here and says hire locally, isnt't it better than outsourcing?

So, its not enuf if foreign companies employ US citizens? Now the economic policy institute has to accuse them of putting American companies out of business!!! Fantastic!! yeah lets bury our heads in the sand and think about what we're gonna whine about next, how American!
