IMMIGRATION VOICE: ANNOUNCEMENT COMING ON THE HALF HOUR

Rate this Entry

Presumably, the IV folks will post and hopefully I'll get the announcement as well. I will provide analysis on it just after that.

    Greg,
I guess it was one of the members of the forum that said that...There is nothing from IV Admin as far as I can see...

    Sam,
They just said "The decision has been reached and the announcement is imminent"...as far as the exact timing I think it could be a speculation from one of the forum members or could be as they claim ...their attorneys have told them. I'm trying not to blame IV if it doesnt come exactly in half an hour. The Govt decisions cannot be forecast that accurately.

Hi Chandu, I think there is no point of saying funny to IV's may be optimistic view of getting news in half hour. This will highly discourage them. No matter what and how they get, they have the intention to help and update hunderds of thousands of long suffered people like us. I mean they are not going to be millionaire out of this, rather trying to feed people's hope and plan to establish in this country, as accurately, efficiently, and promptly possible.

Please note I don't know abcd about the IV and their core people, I am from India and a regular victim of the fiasco and giving my opinion. Bottom line is - WE ALL NEED TO ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER AND WIN TOGETHER!!!

did not mean too..just out of frustration...

Well, it is 11:39 EST, exactly one hour has passed and still not a peep. They may risk losing all credibility by constantly making these pronouncements.

    What you said is right....

From IV website, credits to rivas2005:

You know why AILA doesnt know jack about this?

Coz they are threatening a lawsuit. And I am not saying that is the wrong thing to do. USCIS and DOS manipulation deserves a Tsunami of lawsuits.

But the thing is, if anyone knows ABC of litigation, when you are in negotiations with a party (or parties) threatening lawsuit, you dont blabber away details of what is going on and what happened so far. The conversation is thru lawyers only. The plaintiffs and defendents take a back seat and let the lawyers do negotiations without divulging vital information. That is exactly why USCIS is not telling anything to AILA. Nothing personal there, but that is just how lawsuits work. I dont think Emelio Gonzalez would even say "Hello" to anyone in AILA coz there is a pending lawsuit. USCIS must be talking to AILA thru its internal counsel (their own government lawyers for defense from lawsuits).

So it makes sense why AILA doesnt know about this and thinks its "fluid". They are not misleading. They are just sitting at the wrong table wheras Immigration Voice was sitting at the de facto negotiation table (Read the businessweek and its *hint* about white house talking to immigrant groups. Which immigrant group other than IV represent hi-tech workers ? )

So no wonder why AILA and IV have a difference of opinion here. Coz they are both talking at different parts of the government.

I don't think IV is looking for Credibility on these small things. Once the announcement is made IV gets its credibility.

There's no use in blaming IV or whatever group. If there are no news, you get mad. If they update you with some new, you also get mad if it didn't happen. So better be patient. At least they are doing something.
