SAN JOSE RALLY SENDS MESSAGE TO USCIS AND DOS

Rate this Entry

Hats off to those who stood up for justice and went to this protest. The right of the people to protest is a concept firmly embedded in the Constitution and it's great to see current and future citizens exercising that right to hammer home the point to the government that the failure to uphold it's word and adjudicate cases under the July Visa Bulletin is a travesty.

Here's television coverage from the event.

[UDPATE: A reader suggested I credit Immigration Voice for organizing the event. I'm happy to do so, though when I originally posted on the event a couple of days ago, I did link to IV.]

Sorry for posting here, but I got a Google Alert for this WSJ article:

According to the article preview, some early July applications will be accepted by USCIS. I'm not sure if this is new or if WSJ knows something we don't. Maybe you know about this article already, but I just received the alert.

Interesting. I guess we'll all likely know in the next few hours. If the plan is only to accept cases filed in the first few days of July, expect the lawsuit and the hearings to still take place.
