The
sudden backlog reduction efforts by Citizenship and Immigration
Services Offices during the past month have resulted in the use of
almost 60,000 Employment numbers. As a result of this unexpected action
it has been necessary to make immediate adjustments to several
previously announced cut-off dates.  All Citizenship and Immigration
Services Offices have been notified of the following:

Effective Monday July 2, 2007 there will be no further authorizations inresponse to requests for Employment-based preference cases.  All numbers available to these categories under the FY-2007 annual numerical limitation have been made available.

Employment preference numbers will once again be available to these chargeability areas beginning October 1, 2007, under the

Well, there we go. Those who watched less fortunate immigrants getting screwed, are getting screwed next.

I am positive this has affected a lot of people. Main stream media is going to have a deaf ear for this as well. The process itself is arcane. No one knows how they come up with up VB every month. I dont know why the VB creation procedure and numbers available at any point has to be confidential. People are going to freak out for 2 or 3 days and then forget it as usual. What a mockery!

What exactly happens now since all 485 applications sent in july will potentially be rejected. What is the lawyers/AILA's take on this whole fiasco? Is there any merit in going thru a lawsuit?
As usual the media will ignore the plight of the legal immigrants.
