HE MAY BE A BIG MOUTH, BUT HE'S OUR BIG MOUTH

Way to stand up to a bully, Geraldo! By the way, before the anti-immigrant nuts go crazy on this, I believe the driver should face the justice system and should possibly be deported when the sentence is done. My beef is with the O'Reillys and the Dobbs of the world who try and use an incident like this to stir the emotional pot and get ratings rather than focus on what's best for the country.

I told myself I wasn't going to post here anymore - but after watching this video I feel compelled to.

Without taking sides - because both men have valid points. Heraldo: "We lured them here - so (we have obligations) treat the fairly". O'reilley: "Those (illegals) who break laws should be deported - and should have never been here in the first place".

Did you see the emotion of both men? Immigration is an extremely emotional topic. As a person close to immigrants (my wife, step mother, and step brothers) I fear that the immigration debate will create hate. It stands a real chance of dividing this country. We need civil and moderated discourse - which I understand is tough to achieve.

As am American I also want fair immigration - not driven by corporate profits rather our national interests. Where is the balance? I, like many moderates, are caught in the middle. We have true anti-immigrants who say "deport them all". Then we have those on the opposite extreme who say "let them all in".

There is no consideration for the middle class, and no consideration for the immigrants and their families. The winners seem to be corporations, and the losers seem to be everyone else. If there is a common enemy here, I believe that enemy is corporations. They should have NO voice in the immigration debate. They are the reason we are having this debate - because they refused to obey the laws in the first place.

Shame on anyone who sides with the corporations. They are the instigators and the perpetrators of a national disgrace.
