Blogging from China

Rate this Entry

by Brian Su

I am headed to China with EB-5 economists Jeff Carr and Larry Copp March 16-27, 2011. During the trip, we are attending the Invest in America 2011 (Guangzhou) Summit on March 19-20 when over 40 EB-5 regional centers, law firms, and other service providers will show case their investment opportunities and services to Chinese audiences.  Both Mr. Carr and Copp will present various EB-5 related seminars at the Summit. We will be meeting with major migration industry association leaders and migration agents in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.  EB-5 program has been very popular among Chinese investors who are seeking better opportunities for their families and children in the U.S.  China and Korea have been the largest investors souce countries for EB-5 regional center program in last two years. I will try my best to post photos and news from China if this blog is not blocked in China.  I know my is not accessible in China at all. Stay tuned, more news are on the way.

Brian: i just sent you a note. sounds like you are the key player to help me. I will send you my complete package when i know a little more. I want to send you my CV and package for this project. There is a big market for Chinese and other Asian Students to come to San Francisco to study in college and or private colleges in the area of Chinatown and Union square, several with in walking distance. we only have 25 rooms all private bath, security and Chinese staff. This business is over 60 years old, and we are buying it from a Chinese Family who is retiring. We will also live in and manage and have strong ethics. We have several ides for the investment so they make money and we too. But this is excellent for the EB-5 program. my partners speak fluent Mandarin, I speak only English but are learning.

bottom line we can sell the rooms for $200k each and treat it like a time share, we want to sell 4 rooms for total $800, we have a mortgage with Chinese Bank for balance and we have financials and the hotel has good income. We only like long term stays, like week and month, but few day guests because the past has had strong repeats like this. On the room sale deal they are guaranteed 3-4% interest per year and can op out in five years. or can make any kind of deal they want, plus participate in profits. thanks, Jerry
