ITEMS

1. Comment: Medal Of Honor - We just celebrated National Medal of

Honor Day (March 25), the day when we pay homage to the brave

soldiers who served our country above and beyond the call of

duty. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration of

the United States. More than 700 Medal of Honor recipients have

been immigrants, a number which is dis-proportionally high as

compared to the historical percentage of immigrants to the US,

and is proportional to the love that immigrants have always

demonstrated toward their adopted homeland. We take pride in

these immigrants for their bravery, passion and courage in

defending the American flag. As our small tribute to their

devotion and sacrifice, we have created a section

http://www.ilw.com/resources/immigrantnation.shtm#_2

on our website where our readers can find the citations about our

immigrant heroes, including their names, countries of origin,

ranks, and honorable deeds. We invite our readers to peruse this

section (started, and shortly to be completed), and to bring it

to the attention of those of our mis-guided countrymen and women

who sometimes question the blessings of immigration.
