ITEMS

1. Comment: Heartless Whitman Wants Nanny Deported - California
GOP Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay,
reportedly
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1010/44344.html
told FoxNews: "It breaks my heart, but she should be deported
because she forged documents, and she lied about her immigration
status." This is the punishment Ms. Whitman would visit upon the
lady who took care of Ms. Whitman's children for 9 years, in
addition to cleaning Ms. Whitman's house. The homes of the rich-
and-famous, including anti-immigrant bigots, run on the hard and
humble labor of the undocumented. Yet, in Ms. Whitman's universe,
the rule of the law trumps not only any compassion for a faithful
servant, but human decency too. We don't believe that the nanny's
actions were immoral, it is the immigration law that is broken
and needs to be fixed. Yet should the inadequacy of the
immigration laws intervene in permitting undocumented labor to be
furnished, the high-and-mighty believe that the consequences
should be visited only upon the unfortunate undocumented,
absolving the employer who "did not know". We are confronted here
with yet another instance of the gulf between the rhetoric and
the actions of those who rail against immigrants. Fortunately,
California is blessed with discerning voters, Ms. Whitman's
campaign is headed for defeat next Tuesday, despite the fact that
Ms. Whitman has broken every record in spending money to get
elected Governor. By showing that she is heartless, unprincipled
and disloyal, we believe Ms. Whitman is disqualified not only
from holding public office but also as an American and she would
simply be getting her just deserts should Ms. Whitman be deported
from the USA.

Damn right she should be deported, she was employed under FALSE pretenses, Ms. Whitman ASSUMED she was here legally. She broke the law entering the US, used a bogus SSN, committed fraud and deciet. There is nothing ANTI-IMMIGRANT about this !!!!. I spent 3 1/2 years to bring my wife and step-daughter here, hours of paperwork, thousands of dollars and much emotional pain and grief. You think that this person and others like her should just waltz in here disrespecting and ignoring the laws of our land, BS !! They all need to return to their countries and come here legally!!!!!!

I agree completely. What hypocrites you pro-Mexican jerks are! Whitman followed the law exactly as she should have. If she had not, she could have been prosecuted and you would have jumped all over her case for "harboring" an illegal. I will never understand your obsession with Mexicans and your urge to flood the US with them. They have their own country, why do they have to come here?
