    As Gary Endelman and Cyrus Mehta point out in today's iD article, the federal government already has more administrative power over immigration than it knows what to do with. The question is whether this vast federal power will be used to make the system fairer, as in the I-485 green card filing example that Mr. Endelman and Mr. Mehta propose, or whether it will continue to be used in support of the "enforcement only", "culture of no" policies that this administration is currently following in pursuit of the racist, "Wo sind Ihre Papiere?" vote in the state of Aryanizona and other like-minded parts of this great nation of (white) immigrants.

    There is also a tweet in today's (June 11) ID issue to the effect that Aryanizona is now trying to enact a law refusing to provide state birth certificates to the US-born children of Latino (a/k/a "illegal") immigrants. Regardless of the legal status (or lack of it) on the part of their parents, these children are US citizens, under the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which is the highest law of this great land.

    Aryanizona clearly wants to ignore, disregard or evade federal law, which is exactly what it is persecuting Spanish-speaking immigrants for allegedly doing. Governor Jan Brewer and fellow Republicans in the Aryanizona Reichstag, Wo sind Ihre Papiere?
