  1. Roger Algase, Attorney at Law's Avatar
Re the article about Chinese immigrants: How timely! The Chinese exclusion laws are back, at least in spirit and at least in Arizona. The only difference is that Mexicans are the new Chinese.

On a related matter, how can anyone who cares about racial justice in this country not be outraged at Obama and Napolitano's pathetic attempt to rush troops to the Mexican border in order to appease Republican bigotry, while taking no action to file a lawsuit or speak out in a meaningful way against the Arizona hate law. Instead of courage and principle, Obama is giving us cynical nose-counting.

Latinos and all decent people of good will who believe that America should continue to be a nation of immigrants, even when the immigrants are brown, should start their own party. If this splits the Democrats and brings in years of Republican control, BHO, Rahm, and the other cynical White House advisors will have only themselves to blame.
