Thank you for publishing Frosty Woolridge's article, "Article: Deception, Racket Of Sierra Club And Other Environmental Clubs", in which he informs us that Canada, one of the most underpopulated nations on earth, is bursting at the seams because of Canada's continuing mass importation of (generally old) immigrants. I am quite happy to have the delusionally counter-factual thinking of such groups presented to ILW's readers, though I still wish letters to the editor got at least the same bullet points sometimes profanely (but less so altely, thanks) incendiary titles that go with the featured tweets merit.

I have not the slightest intention of comparing Frosty Woolridge's article with the Nazis or Hitler. There is nothing in his article that even remotely resembles or condones Nazi ideology. But his article's removal from reality (which Honza Prchal's comment aptly calls "delusionally counter-factual") and its absurd choice of scapegoats for his anti-immigrant fantasies of "overpopulation" remind me of a story that was said to have been current during the Nazi era.

According to the story, a Nazi storm trooper stops a Jew in the street and asks him who started the war. The Jew, knowing that there is only one possible answer that might have any chance of saving him from being beaten up or worse, says: "The Jews, of course". Then, as a kind of causal afterthought, he adds: "and the bicycle riders".

Surprised, the storm trooper asks: "Why the bicycle riders?" The Jew answers, "Why the Jews?"

In the same spirit, one could ask Mr. Woolridge: "Why the Sierra Club?" (Of course, by quoting this story, I mean no disrespect to Mr. Woolridge for his bike trips to Antarctica and other similarly overpopulated areas of the globe.)

I wish that you would give all of our tech-savvy, internet-generation teenagers something to aspire to- write your tweets in English. Some of them are plain incomprehensible. While it may be stylish to abbreviate (and butcher) the English language, and I am aware of those pesky character limitations on Twitter, there is still something to be said for writing simply, clearly, and effectively (not to mention correctly), and I fear that what you gain in "text appeal" with your tweets, you lose in effectiveness and credibility.

I am unable to open the site regarding the opinion on No Fee Sharing posted on Immigration Daily on March 11, 2010.

Editor's note: It appears that the news story link is inactive since the link is almost a month old. News links are links to outside websites, which are outside ILW.COM's control. However, a Google search with the terms "NJ Disciplinary Review Board fee sharing" should bring up related stories.

    Attached is an I-601 decision (A97 649 625),0413-lee.pdf
that we just received dated April 2, 2010, that may be of interest to the readership. The I-601 was occasioned by fraudulent entry and the only qualifying relative was the applicant's LPR mother. The applicant has two U.S. citizen born children. In discussing hardship factors including the mother's complete dependence upon the applicant and the mother's numerous health problems, the AAO placed emphasis upon her concern that the applicant with two children might be punished for violating China's one child family planning policy (as another of her daughters in China had been punished) and cited the latest U.S. Department of State Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for China (3/11/10) as corroboration for the mother's concern. On the mother's concern that she would not receive quality medical treatment in China if she returned with the applicant, especially as her husband had died prematurely due to substandard medical care in China, the AAO referenced the publication, Country Specific Information-China, U.S. Department of State (12/31/09), to confirm the current state of substandard medical care in China. On finding extreme hardship, the AAO weighed the equities and sustained our appeal after finding that the favorable factors outweighed the unfavorable ones.
