(a) EB-5 Investor Program
There is no need to wait for the Regional Center program to be
extended before it sunsets on September 30, 2008. This is a 300
acre project in Southern California near San Juan Capistrano. The
Project will create at least 300 new full-time jobs through the
development of a resort hotel/spa & corporate retreat, an upscale
equestrian centre with 1000 stalls, arena, training and boarding
facilities and, along with a vineyard, an olive orchard, and 30
estate view lots. The developers and general partners have
extensive experience in high profile developments.   The Project
qualifies under the EB-5 Investor Visa program for an immigrant
investor in need of a permanent residence in the US "Green Card".

6.  Headlines

(a) Immigrant Assimilation Critical, Report Finds

As the United States becomes more diverse, a greater effort must
be made to integrate immigrants into American society, according
to a new report by a federal task force.

(b) Immigration Officials Curtail Sedation Of Deportees After
Criticism, Lawsuits

Federal immigration officials, over the past year, have
dramatically curtailed the controversial practice of sedating
deportees with powerful anti-psychotic medication.

(c) The Year Of The Latino Vote, The Giant That Finally Awoke

While polls and pundits denied that immigration was a priority
for Latino voters, it seems clear that the issue did play a role,
if not in the embracing of Barack Obama, at least in the
rejection of the Republican party.

(d) El Norte - Criterion Collection Review

Intoxicatingly poetic and disturbingly realistic, the film
dissects illegal immigration without glorifying or condemning
those who choose to gamble their lives with it. Courtesy of the
Criterion Collection.
