From DREAMActivist.org:

Astor came to the United States in January 2005 to reunite with his mother and his U.S. citizen brother after his uncle was killed. The people who murdered Astor's uncle were put in jail but threatened to kill Astor as soon as they got out of jail. Fearing for his life, Astor and his family decided it was best for him to come to the U.S. where he could be safe. Upon arrival to the US, Astor was detained at the border. He was released to his mother after spending months at a home for unaccompanied children crossing the border. Astor was forced to go before an immigration judge at the age of 13 who told him he had to leave the country by the time he turned 17. He was only a child.

Astor is currently a sophomore in high school and works part-time as a busboy. Astor also has a child on the way and his only wish is to be there for his baby. Seeing that Astor's father was never in his life, Astor wants to set a good example for his baby and provide for the baby emotionally and financially. Astor's family also needs him for moral and financial support.

On October 3rd, Astor and his friends broke into an abandoned building, broke some windows, and when the police arrived, his friends fled the scene. Astor stayed because he hadn't stolen anything and didn't see any reason to run away. He was charged with breaking and entering. On Thursday, October 25th, Astor plead guilty to the charges and told the judge that he hadn't stolen anything. While the judge merely sentenced him to probation, ICE had already placed a detainer on him. Astor has, since then, been transferred to North Georgia Detention Center where he awaits imminent deportation.
