Rate this Entry

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has issued a press release in response to a recently released Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General (OIG) report that found gross deficiencies and lack of oversight in the federal immigration enforcement program known as 287(g).  The 287(g) program enables local law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration laws.

In response to the report, AILA is calling for Secretary Napolitano and Congress to end the 287(g) Program.
