Indeed it was one of the best step taken by Mr. OBAMA'S GOVERNMENT. but regret to say that in spite of all the states being united under one Govt. as UNITED STATES OF AMERICA some states fail to respect MR OBAMA'S DACA law and the applicant who are approved by the GOVT. are not given the proper rights such as they are not accepted as a resident of USA and their rights of EDUCATION is taken away, some of the good colleges not only deny their instate status but they are rudely denied even for the admission in their colleges. I really feel very sorry for them and would like MR OBAMA and his GOVT. to propose & pass some law so that the right of gaining GOOD education is not deprived by such states.

    Dear ILW Reader:
Anyone who believes that AILA retains any vestige of honesty or transparency when it comes to the pretext as to why Susan McFadden and I were banned from the Message Center will have their doubts removed after viewing this correspondence.
As we all know, not only was AILA?s webmaster Andrea Chempinski?s ?Hoo? nickname used as a pretext, but clearly some members like Susan Pai are allowed to post ?offensive? material freely without repercussions, while others are not.
We paid Susan Quarles $245,334 in compensation in 2012 according to AILA?s tax return (Form 990); Lord knows how much this year, and we get monosyllabic responses. Crystal Williams received $284,514 last year, and probably is a hair under $300,000 this year.
How anyone could lend their name to that laughable Transparency Taskforce defies comprehension. Yes, you people keep working on how many ?likes? it takes to qualify for a Facebook award.

    Well, Susan, how about this?
Please advise as to the number, if any, of members who have been banned from the MC. Not names, just number(s).
That should satisfy your concerns and yet provide the membership with information it is entitled to have. AILA?s annual report gives the exact number of members suspended from the organization itself, so there is no excuse not to provide this information.
Why can we know how many members are suspended from the organization for non-payment of dues, but not from the MC?
And, for the record, hiding behind the excuse that we divulged the ban is simply pathetic. Unless people thought we died, do you really think people wouldn?t have noticed that I, in particular, had disappeared from the MC, especially in the midst of my campaign for Treasurer?
And before you respond that you don?t care what I think, think about how this looks when it is discussed within the membership.
PS - Good going, Doug. You are really boosting your transparency street cred.

Sure Susan ? happy to explain. We didn?t divulge to anyone that you and Ken were suspended from Message Center access ? you told it yourselves. If a Member is suspended, its just not something we would divulge to others. Just as Members whose membership is suspended ? we don?t tell anyone.

    Regards,
    Susan

    Dear Susan (great name, btw),

I see that you have refused to tell Ken Rinzler which people, if any, have been barred from the Message Center?other than Ken and me, of course. Although Doug Stump was copied on Ken?s request you did not show Doug as a cc on your response, but I will copy him back into this exchange.

I, too, would like to know who else has been barred from the Message Center. If for some reason you are unable/unwilling to provide the information I would appreciate receiving a reasoned explanation for your position, not just a flat ?no.?

    Regards,
    Susan

The Sheriff is doing his job.

You want open borders and the destruction of the American nation state or your sympathies so indicate.

We need a secure wall as in the West Bank.

Commenting on the citizen militia being told by Sheriff Arapio that they are at risk if they are patrolling for "illegal immigrants" in Arapio's territory. What a mess we have created with our foolish notions and restrictive immigration policies. Some people are so afriad of immigrants they are sure they are all coming here to do us harm, rob, steal and engage in illegal activities. In fact they very idea they do not possess a government sanctioned piece of paper they are committing a transgression for which they should never be forgiven.

Meanwhile, we also have a sheriff who feels the people he stops have no basic rights, not even the rights of a real criminal. He casually encourages his deputies to ignore the basic rights of those people who he thinks might possibly be immigrants; those who are not of this small group of preferred and sometimes just lucky immigrants who possess the magic piece of paper.

We will look back on our treatment of immigrants in much the same manner we now look back with horror at the treatment of the slaves.

Massive reform needs to be undertaken, but I realize before this can happen even more massive education must take place. Thanks to all of you who are involved in this educational effort!
