Matthew Kolken on Deportation And Removal

Removal of 190,000 Sought in US Immigration Courts in FY 2013

Rating: 2 votes, 5.00 average.
Syracuse University's TRAC Immigration reports that in fiscal year 2013 the Administration will seek to remove (deport) more than an estimated 190,000 people. This figure does not include individuals deported administratively by ICE or the Border Patrol, which means the actual number of deportations will be much higher.

TRAC also reports that in the current fiscal year 53.1 percent of all people facing removal in Immigration Court are deported, with the percentages varying State to State. Unsurprisingly, States with large immigration detention facilities maintain a higher percentage of individuals ordered deported.
