    Dear Editor,

You say, "The undocumented population in the United States suffers numerous injustices under our broken immigration system. It is heartening to see state legislatures and state courts correcting some of the wrongs."

Exactly what "wrongs" has our immigration system perpetrated on law-breaking illegals who have flaunted US immigration law for decades? I believe the shoe is on the other foot and it is the illegals who should be thanking the US government for overlooking their violations of law for so long and apologize to the American people for working here illegally, not paying taxes and shipping money back to Mexico to bolster their economy, rather than spending it in America to support the local community.

If our immigration system is broken, it has nothing to to with the manner in which illegals are treated (which is better than just about any other country in the world, including Mexico deals with immigration scofflaws) . . . it has to do with the way the law, regulations and most importantly, the mindset of USCIS in adjudicating applications and petitions that is broken.

    America owes illegals nothing.

    Sincerely, David D. Murray, Esq.
