As to the president's power to halt deportations through executive action: a substantial fraction of removals depend on "Secure Communities," the program through which state and local law enforcement identify persons suspected of lacking documents. This program is wholly a creation of the executive, during the Bush Administration, and was resisted in many jurisdictions. The Obama Administration made it compulsory, and relies on it heavily. But it could be made voluntary with a stroke of a pen, and many states and counties would drop out. The President indeed could abolish it entirely, as it is not required by statute, and remove Arizona from its role as enthusiastic facilitator of deportations.

Millions are begining to wonder if US politics are the same as the third world countries if it is so, shame on the republicans and I do want to ask them if:

they do understand the urgency of the Immigration reform?
they do understand that this propposed reform will benefit the USA as a whole and not the rest of the world?
they are aware that millions of US CITIZEN do understand and want the Immigration reform to materiolize ASAP because it is needed?
they really understand that the Republican Party have lost credibility and for the next election in 2016 they will have no chance again?
they really have a feeling that we just want them out?

I know they feel out of place, but kiddnapping the Citizenships will will not help, I WANT THEM TO GET THE HELL OUT AND I WANT PRESIDENT OBAMA TO EXERCISE HIS EXECUTIVE POWER in order to prove these BULLIES (the republicans) that he is in charge

it does not matter if I am a republican or a democrat I AM WITH MY PRESIDENT ALL THE WAY

Are these folks in detention centers illegal aliens, or those who were "admitted or paroled". If they entered w/o inspection, they will get lost in the crowd if the are granted parole.

You act like facilitating enforcement of law is a bad thing. I'm sure you think California impeding enforcement of law is a wonderful thing and have no shame about obstruction since the cause of open borders regardless of what the law says is so noble, right?
