Pressure Increases for President Obama to Address the Humanitarian Crisis on the Border

Statement from Mariana Ruiz Firmat, Managing Director of Presente.org, about the warehousing of children on the border:

“It is morally reprehensible that children found crossing the border by themselves continue to be warehoused inhumanely inside of military bases sleeping on cold concrete floors. Meanwhile, our politicians are using their fate as policy bargaining chips, and a broken immigration system is trying to deport them. Presente.org members are calling on President Obama and DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson to end this humanitarian crisis, and do the right thing by granting these children immediate asylum and uniting them with their families in the United States."

Nearly 14,000 Presente.org members have called on the President to bring an end to the suffering that’s happening to children on the border. http://act.presente.org/sign/childrenborder/

Where are the leaders of those sending minors flooding this country? All NGOs such as Presente.org have been silent and looking the othe way for those irresponsible leaders of those countries, but, instead beating on the US govermnent. Why is that?

The leaders of those countries should be proscecuted for human traffiking for exporting minors without consent from the parents. NGOs such as Presente.org is sitting on the sideline and screaming for a grant from the US gov't to run these camps, rathan than doing its best to call on those leaders to stop the inhuman acts.

Morally reprehensible? Come now . . . that type of insidiously inflammatory remark needs definition. "Warehosing children" . . . what can be expected of the government? . . . The children never should have been allowed to enter the USA . . . they are not the US government's problem. In loco parentus simply does not apply here.

Who asked these children to come to the US border from more than 2,000 miles south? And who is Presente.org? . . . some group who want to make big bucks on this "humanitarian" issue? This entire children at the border thing is obviously a well organized ruse. Don't be sucked in by it. Shut the border and make everyone adhere to US immigration law. This is not a "humanitarian" issue. The question is, what is it and who is orchestrating it? Answer those questions and then this discussion can proceed. Otherwise, it is futile to discuss this issue.
