The Senate Committee on the Judiciary held a hearing entitled ?Oversight of the Administration?s Misdirected Immigration Enforcement Policies: Examining the Impact on Public Safety and Honoring the Victims.? Tuesday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m., in Room 106 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
I wish what you said about his being history were true but it is not. He has not lost any support (and, in fact, seems to have gained some) as a result of his denigration of both immigrants and prisoners of war.
Trump . . .
Donald Trump is the epitome of what media or other organizations have been fighting to stop: in the classroom at every grade as done by the rich to the less-haves, or different... at universities' sororities and fraternities.... by the socially status minded against the down-trodden, the obese, the LGBTs, etc... TRUMP , PURE AND SIMPLY, IS A BIG BULLY and NO ONE HAS EVER TOLD HIM IT IS NOT OK TO DO THIS TO OTHERS, therefore, it continues and he gets away with it. Sadly those who are like-minded will simply follow.
My 2Cents Worth..
The only purpose of the Senate committee hearings is to stir up more hatred against immigrants and support Donald Trump's hate-spewing charges that they are mostly criminals (except for a few "good people, I presume").
Using the death of this unfortunate woman as an excuse to stir up animosity against millions of innocent, non-criminal Latino immigrants, who will inevitably be the main targets of this exercise in bigotry, is an insult to the memory of the unfortunate victim of one disturbed killer, acting alone, and to her family, whether they realize it or not.
If we really want to prevent violent crime, by immigrants or by US citizens, then let's take away their guns. That will go much further toward making America safer than scapegoating immigrants for every problem that we have in this country.

Are you aware that the Center for Immigration Studies is related FAIR? I can?t believe you would published one of their nonsensical pseudo-intellectual bile.
This is not a new topic. Congress was debating what to do about sanctuary cities in 2003, when I was the minority counsel on the immigration subcommittee. A hearing transcript from that year is available at, http://commdocs.house.gov/committees/judiciary/hju85287.000/hju85287_0f.htm
