New NFAP Report Challenges Wisdom of Proposed H-1B Restrictions

Rate this Entry
Senators Durbin and Grassley have succeeded in slipping in a number of foolish protectionist provisions in S.744 that will impose all sorts of new taxes and disruptive restrictions that will make the H-1B program a lot less efficient. The provisions will also probably result in the US being sued under the GATS, the world trade in services treaty. The National Foundation on American Policy has a new report warning of the consequences of some of these proposed changes.

Actually Grassley does not want any immigration. If possible he will try and stop the spouses of US citizens from migrating and he would probably like to go back to the era before 1952.

And of course neither Grassley nor Durbin understand the global economy..still under the delusion that if a foreigner is kicked out of the country, the job will go to an American. The Bank of America cases is telling. Actually BofA moved those jobs plus other jobs to Merril Lynch in Singapore in 2009, unemploying more Americans.
