ICE draws guns, scares US citizen children in immigration sweep

Via Ashbury Park Press:

"Around 6 a.m. on Jan. 5, ICE agents knocked on the door of a New Brunswick home asking for someone named "Rodriguez." When the family inside refused to open and said no one by that name lived there, ICE agents forced their way in with guns drawn, said 14-year-old Anel Nieto, who was inside."

So, what is the problem? Was the boy a gang member? Did ICE have a warrant? U.S. citizen children in the house may mean the parents were endangering the children if they harbored a known gang member. I know that many agents act like cowboys, so it is possible they made errors in judgement, but nothing in the video shows ICE doing anything wrong. Work permits can be revoked without going to an immigration judge - we may see a lot more of this if we bring in thousands of refugees from Syria. During my 39 year immigration career I made a lot of arrests, but I also was a manager who approved the naturalization of 300,000 new citizens. I am familiar with both sides of similar stories. There is simply not enough in the video to judge ICE as being either right or wrong.

I presume the person arrested was the boy the family claimed was not present. If so, the family has no right to complain.
