Republicans will continue to reject comprehensive immigration reform bills until these problems are resolved.

I am happy to see the Republican Party implode. Democrat also. They are the past. There is a whole different "paradigm" and it is increasingly being used even by people who do not realize it. Voluntarism flourishes increasingly all over the world!

Is Nolan Rappaport referring to the problem of employers who bring people into the US on tourist visas to work illegally, as four models have alleged that one of Donald Trump's companies did in their cases, according to the latest Mother Jones story?

Roger, did you read my article? It's not about Trump, although I do mention that he is trying to address one of the deal breaker problems. It's about needing to be able to confirm the identity and place of origin of legalization applicants and being able to do meaningful background investigations on them. Would you like to comment about those points?

I won't deny that the above is an important point. And so is the question of whom America can trust to enforce our immigration laws.

Is someone who is on record as saying that he wants to build a Wall, kick out 11 million unauthorized immigrants and ban Muslims (or at least people from many Muslim countries) from entering the US in order to protect America from crime and terror, but who may have, allegedly, lied on immigration applications for his own employees (a felony if it is proven, which it has not been to date), qualified to be in charge of our immigration system?

As Shakespeare once said: That is the question.

You must not have seen the latest polls. Trump is ahead of Hillary in a 4-person race and within margin of error on 2-person race. Better start trying to lobby him rather than ridicule him.

Thank goodness they came to their senses. It's not just immigration we have to worry about with someone as unstable and impulsive as Trump in office. The very safety of every American not to mention undocumented hoping to live in the US permanently is at stake here. Nay, the entire world's safety is at issue given the President has the nuclear codes and more at his disposal. It's time the Latino community WOKE UP and SAW the BIG picture. It's just so damn unfortunate it took them this long.

Balanced issue reporting would be nice. Very little value to this service any longer.

    I absolutely agree.

I haven't written much about Hillary Clinton so far, but I will make one brief comment.

Does she have the level of honesty, openness and respect for the law and adherence to principle that Americans have the right, ideally, to expect of their president? Not many people would say so.

But is she the only person who stands between America and Donald Trump's white supremacist, proto-fascist agenda for America?

    Yes.

    Case closed.
