The National Geographic Channel's #1 rated show is a reality show centering around Cesar Millan helping owners correct problem behavior with their dogs. Okay, that doesn't sound terribly compelling, but the show is actually well done and worth watching, particularly if you're a dog lover.
Cesar Millan is probably the best know dog trainer on the planet. So a lot of folks who watch his show might be surprised that he crossed illegally from his native Mexico in 1990 and was an illegal alien for several years. He's now a permanent resident and on his way to citizenship.
I think Cesar is an excellant people trainer. If you can't train the people, you can't train the dog. I wish he would address one thing though. Do you notice that when most people greet a dog they tend, with an open hand, to tap the dog on the head and not to gently either. It might be so much nicer for the dog for people to run their hand down the dogs head to the shoulders.
I have to say it. This seems to be a man thing.

We should all go back and pay a fine, to the Native Americans.
I am not kidding !
We are as illegal as anybody, so don't be hipocritical about all of this.
What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
By the way, European immigrants didn't have to do much to be LEGAL, all they had to do is step on this land and "VOILA", LEGAL.
I am so sick of the whining hipocrites saying that "we" came here without fault, PLEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ !!!!

Not that I want the focus to be on his status in a negative way since my ancesters arrived after his, but once he's got permanent residence unless he goes on a crime spree or starts foolin with jailbait, he's in. As far as what he does, it works for those who commit to follow what he says. Does he have a true gift? I see it in spite of the TV show. And selfishly what I care about is, it works on my dogs and even the cat for that matter.

>>He crossed illegally and should have to pay a fine for breaking the law<<
What makes you think he didn't pay a fine?

He crossed illegally and should have to pay a fine for breaking the law or go back to his native country.

The dog whisperer as the best job in the world cos if it wasnt for him, more dogs in the world would have been put down,we thank him.

A dog-whisperer is better than a dog-shouter. And, for all the anti-immigrant uglies, he took no one's job.

OK, the dog whisperer should stay ;-)
But only if he comes to my house and has a stern discussion with my dog.

Oh come on. Do you think people want me to put a Nobel Prize winner on every day?

OK, now your list is getting silly. A dog whisperer??? Not that he's a bad guy, but dog whisperer???

There was also a very good South Park episode based on the show. Very funny!
