The rule is out and I'm now preparing a summary. I"m hoping to post later today (my version is 56 pages so it will take a little while). The broader plan has also been announced and I'll post on that shortly.

Paul, I made the assumption that all people on this board had values similar to mine (thinking adultry as a bigger sin than crossing the border), I should not be that naive.

>> You need to realize that not everyone shares the same religious values as you.
Now there's a plan. It would be good if some Republicans realized that as well.

TX, sorry but what's wrong with adultery? You need to realize that not everyone shares the same religious values as you.

If we consider that we are at full employment in the US in combination with the Housing maket crisis this will put tremendous preasure on the US economy. This is a world of pain and more trouble for the economy. Unepmloyment rate will run high and economic activity will decrease.

I am wondering if this will push the Dem to revise the idea to do not discuss any further an immigration. The 245(i) will be a great success (any news, Gregg?)
In any case, i think that next year all the latino will think double before cast a vote for a repubblican...

Also, the Heritage foundation just got their Christmas gift in August.....
http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/wm1585.cfm
Probably will be a long happy hour this evening for the folks over at the Heritage foundation. I guess some people really get a kick out of the fact that more and more worksites will be raided and mother and fathers would be hauled away and put in detention centers while small kids wonder where their parents are. Way to go Heritage foundation!, you got your first gift when CIR was defeated, now you can go celebrate while US citizen childern lay awake at night thinking of their parents and wondering where they are, way to go!

Romney is the first candidate to come out and praise the recent enforcement efforts.....
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2007/08/romney_praises.html
I guess we could expect more of these inhumane enforcement rules and breaking up of families if this guy becomes president next year (God Forbid). Some family values he has. I would assume that privately Romney also called Sen. Vitter and told him to hang in there when news came out of his adultry, after all adultry is a much more forgivable crime then crossing the border and being here undocumented. Also, this is the same guy who had undocumented immigrants mowing his lawn. I hope sensible republicans (my dad being one of them) would wake up and realize what is happening to their party.
