Nothing new, but a useful summary of the rights of soldiers to naturalize immediately and get sworn in overseas.
Now if we can just get USCIS and the State Department to start actually treating soldiers with the respect they deserve. I am now hearing from members of the armed services on a regular basis reporting one problem after another such as denials of discretionary waivers for their spouses or a lack of flexibility in scheduling appointments when soldiers are deployed or about to be deployed.
If you are a soldier or relative of a soldier and are experiencing similar problems, please email me. I'm collecting stories because I'd like to get the message to the higher ups at USCIS and DOS, members of Congress and the media on what is happening.
