CO-WORKERS: HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

Here's a story worth reading simply because it illustrates what is happening all over the country every day. This is not an unusual case and when you read it ask yourself how America is better off by keeping this family separated and whether it is consistent with the family values our leaders preach.

Looks like this is all attorney's fault. I thought it is well established that those waivers are notoriously hard to get..

But I do not have much sympathy for the couple either. The wife did lie upon entering the country and falsely claimed US citizenship. There are families that have much better case, and are still kept apart because they did not want/dare to lie.

I never liked this argument because it applies to a wide variety of situations and it is unclear where to draw a line. For example, when a single mom goes to jail for shoplifting one could say "is America better off by keeping those poor children without mom". I think false claim of US citizenship is more serious than shoplifting. And in fact, nobody is keeping the family apart, because the father could go to Mexico or any third country and they could live there happily thereafter. And if he wants to he could visit his other family in US.. Again, there are hundreds of people in much worse situation who committed much less a crime.

Well, Mr. Hot Pants is doing this to himself. He can go live in Mexico to be with his wife.

Lesson learned: never leave the U.S. once you are in.

What the restrictionists don't seem to realize is that when you seal the border, people can't get in but neither can they leave.
