Actually, they let the moslem Lebanese go because she looked white with a "western" name Brenda. But, they detained the dark skinned Tamil woman from Singapore, and they did not ask her about LTTE..they asked her about Islamic fundamentalists...all based on skin color...not religion.

No, I am saying that in the profiling comes down to skin color. A darker skinned person could automatically be assumed to be a moslem. Profiling is always directed at a dark skinned person. If a white looking moslem woman with no head scarf and a dark skinned Singaporean Tamil Christian go to a TSA check point, the white skinned moslem would be let go and they will detained the dark skinned Tamil Christian. This happened recently in the US.

Still George My point stays. Race has nothing to do with Terrorism. Also you mentioned Taliban; Taliban is not Middle eastern it is Afghan. Middle eastern are Arabs they are as different as from Afghans as Europeans are from Latin Americans. They are a different race, different culture, different language. The only similarity is the religion. It is the South Asians, especially the dark skinned South Indian and Sri Lankan christians who get detained at the airport security..several of my relatives who are actually fundamentalist christians get detained and harassed all the time because the officers cannot tell the difference between a Hindu/Christian vs a moslem name..hence they detain on the basis of skin color.

George you call other people racist, but you are talking about middle east terrorism isn't that a racist statement? or at least racial profiling. Terrorism is not just Middle eastern or Islamic for that matter. Terrorism does not have a religion or race it is simply a Terrorism. Fence is diverting attention from fighting Middle Eastern terrorism by focusing on the wrong enemy despite similar religions based strictly on the color of the skin. Secondly, the fence tantamounts to Berlin Wall, ie., communism, although granted, the latter was meant to keep people in..it also was meant to keep western troublemakers out. So, fence = Marxism...which brings me to the final point that Pat Buchanan is a communist masquerading as a conservative.
