Representative Chris Cannon, a good friend of America's immigrants was ousted by a vocal anti-immigration former kicker for Brigham Young University. Guess the opponent got his revenge for being passed up for the NFL by all of those foreign players. Seriously, though, this is a sad day and the GOP's prime example of a Congressman with tolerance is out the door as the party's congressional ranks drift further to extremism.
Glen Beck's "What a Conservative Believes."
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/06/25/beck.conservatives/index.html
I shall modify the following statement he made
"A conservative believes that every human being has a right to life, from conception to death."..
to "A conservative believes that every human being has a right to life, from conception to death, but has no right to automatic US citizenship if one of the parents was an illegal alien. Let the fetus live but punish it after it comes out of the womb by denying it citizenship if one of its parents is an illegel."
I shall modify the statement he made...
"A conservative believes in the smallest government you can get without anarchy"...to...
"A conservative believes in the smallest government you can get without anarchy except in the case of immigration where the conservative wants a wall and other communist related enforcement not very different from the Soviet Union."

This is one of the reasons the GOP will get killed in the congressional elections..they will win this seat though as it is a heavily GOP district, but overall their ranks continue to dwindle...
