Apparently, snooping through the passport files of celebrities is all the rage for some voyeuristic US State Department officials. Fortunately, I'm just a boring immigration lawyer about which no tabloid will give a hoot. Are we about to hear that some entrepreneurial DOS official is selling the information to the National Enquirer?
Indian firms employ 30,000 US citizens:
For many people in the US, there is no problem if foreign firms employ Americans, only if US firms move jobs abroad. Similarly, Americans and especially the Brits working in Singapore and Dubai have no problem working in those countries and making loads of money..these expats only have problems with Chinese or Arabs working in the US or UK. Plain selfishness and perhaps some racism as well (a number of these expats express fear that their sons might marry a local Chinese or God forbid a Filipina, "contaminating their blood" and the bride's entire extended family would move to the UK or USA)..along the lines of CIS and Mark Kirkorian!
