The Democratic and GOP national conventions will likely treat immigration in very different ways. The Democrats will seek to convince Hispanic voters that they are the party that will be able to deliver immigration reform. The Republicans - well, not so much. Expect the subject to be stripped from discussion lest the party nominee be embarrassed.
"White house is not won by winning the popular vote. Won by winning states. If the Democratic landslide is now even with the GOP, imagine what can happen to the landslide when it comes to electoral college."
I think he will win the popular vote but loose the electoral college...heck he may even win the popular vote by nearly a million by carryign NY, IL and CA by lopsided margins...but the only way for a GOP recovery in the House and the Senate is a potential Obama Presidency. If McCain gets in..you are looking at the destruction of GOP in 2010 followed by redistricting and more destruction in 2012.

White house is not won by winning the popular vote. Won by winning states. If the Democratic landslide is now even with the GOP, imagine what can happen to the landslide when it comes to electoral college. Obama has moved far enough from his base to the center and pissed off liberals. He became yet another politician on the day he voted for the telecom immunity bill, that too retroactively. Picking Biden was nothing but rubbing salt to the wounds of Hillary supporters. Clearly he has chosen a Washington outsider LOL. Jeez! Ideologue + Mr Gaffe
It will be interesting to see if Mac picks Kay B Hutchinson and cement some of that Clinton vote. Condy Rice will be too much trouble.
Agree with the comments on the Southern wing of GOP

Hey George that is part of the republican party, I hope they embrace them to ensure a democratic landslide coming November.

I hope the racist southern wing of the GOP goes to hell and gets marginalized in these elections led by Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint and David Vitter.
